Community login, the 30-day inactivity rule, and shared devices
Understand when Community keeps you signed in, how to switch accounts safely, and what to do before leaving a shared computer.
Sign in from Community
Open the account icon in the Community header and choose Log in. Continue through auth.altifigence.com and return to Community. Use the intended Altifigence account; a login on another Altifigence service does not by itself confirm that Community is signed in.
Reading public discussions does not require signing in. Posting requires a signed-in account with a verified email and a Community public name. If you are asked to verify your email, complete the Account verification flow before trying again.
What 30 days of inactivity means
Community renews its session when you use it and the server successfully validates the session. There is no fixed maximum lifetime while that session remains active. After 30 days without qualifying Community activity, sign in again.
A forgotten background tab does not periodically keep the login alive. Clearing cookies, using a private window, signing out, or an account security change can end access earlier. Administrator actions can require a fresh login even while ordinary Community access remains active.
Switch accounts without posting as the wrong person
Copy any unfinished post or reply to a place you control before switching accounts or reloading.
Open the account menu and choose Switch account. Complete login with the intended account.
Reload other Community tabs and check the displayed public name before posting.
If another tab changes the account, the older page stops accepting writes. This protects a draft from being submitted under a different account; it does not save the draft for you. Do not repeatedly press Submit after a session-change message.
Finish safely on a shared computer
Use Log out in Community and confirm that the account menu offers Log in.
If you also used Account or another Altifigence product, sign out of those sessions separately. Community logout is not a promise that every product or provider account on the device has signed out.
Close private windows and remove sensitive downloaded files from the shared device after keeping any needed copy safely.
If you suspect someone else has access, review and revoke the relevant sessions in Account. Send security concerns privately to security@altifigence.com; never include passwords, cookies, one-time codes, or recovery codes.
